An 8x10 ft rug (240 x 300 cm) is one of the most popular sizes for a Beni Ourain style rug. It is large enough to anchor a living room or a bedroom, and it is available in our shop with the pile of your choice.
Where an 8x10 rug works best
Living room: place the rug so that at least the front legs of the sofa and armchairs sit on it. This ties the seating area together and makes the room feel larger.
Bedroom: put the rug under the bed so it extends about 60 to 90 cm (2 to 3 ft) on each side and at the foot. In a queen-size bedroom, 8x10 usually gives a comfortable margin.
Dining room: an 8x10 rug can work under a small table, but the chairs should stay on the rug when pulled out. For larger tables, look at 9x12.
Which pile should you choose?
