At MoroccoWoven, every rug begins with a direct connection to the people who make it. Our work is connected to a Beni Ourain cooperative in Morocco’s Middle Atlas mountains, where women weavers continue a craft passed through generations.

A direct connection to the Middle Atlas

MoroccoWoven was created to reduce the distance between the weaver and the person who will live with the finished rug. Rather than selecting anonymous pieces from a catalogue, our model is based on working directly with the cooperative and representing the work of its weavers.

Made only after you order

Our rugs are made to order. We do not hold finished stock for the designs in our current collection. Once an order is placed, the rug is produced for that customer in the selected size and configuration.

Because each rug is made to order, please allow approximately 20–40 days from the date of your order to delivery. This estimated total timeframe includes handmade production and shipping. Handmade work takes time, and the schedule reflects the process rather than a factory stock cycle.

Wool and handmade craft

Our existing collection is built around wool rugs made by hand. Our story describes the cooperative’s work with Atlas wool and traditional handmaking methods, with pieces produced in the weavers’ homes and workshops rather than through factory mass production.

The character of a handmade rug comes from this process. Small variations can be part of the individuality of a piece made by hand rather than a defect to be digitally corrected or hidden.

See Your Finished Rug Before We Ship It

Once your rug is completed and before it is dispatched, you can request a video call with MoroccoWoven to see the finished rug and give your final visual approval. This gives you an additional opportunity to view the completed piece, its overall appearance, colors, design and handmade character before shipment.

If you would like a final video approval, contact us before dispatch so we can arrange the call.

This video approval service is optional. Viewing or approving the rug during the call does not remove or limit any rights you may have if the rug arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially different from what you ordered.
